Kitchen Culinaire is pleased to announce our upcoming class schedule for March, April and May. These classes are booked on a first come, first served basis and have eight to ten spaces available. Have your own group and a specific date in mind? Feel free to contact us so that we can check our availability and set up a party, dinner or class just for you.

An informal evening hosted at Kitchen Culinaire headquarters. Start the evening by relaxing in the living room with a few hors d’oeuvres or wander into the kitchen to check out the final preparations for dinner. Then gather around our candlelit table, set for ten, and enjoy a leisurely four course meal made with seasonal ingredients from our local markets. Julie has called “The Drive” home for the last ten years and will lead you to her favourite shops, introducing you to amazing food products and the people who craft and sell them.
From the best smoked meats to imported Italian cheeses to handcrafted Belgian chocolates, Commercial Drive is a mecca of gastronomical treats. Once the shopping is completed Julie will take you back to Kitchen Culinaire headquarters to prepare an Italian-themed lunch from the tour’s gathered ingredients: antipasto platter, Caprese salad, a trio of homemade pizzas and an easy-to-make chocolate gelato for a sweet finish.

Supper in the Kitchen is our monthly cheap and cheerful class that focuses on flavourful, simple, seasonal and inexpensive meals. The recipes demonstrated are perfect for a busy weeknight meal or informal weekend dinner. This class is geared towards novice cooks who are looking to expand their simple supper repertoire while picking up some always useful new cooking techniques.

Hors D’oeuvres Class/Wine Tasting
7 pm – 10:30 pm | $90 + HST person per person | 8 guests
This class is available upon request and is a great way to unwind after the work day while expanding your culinary and oenological knowledge. We will blind taste three wines and then demonstrate a three course hors d’oeuvre menu to match. Meet some new friends while we explore the “rules” of wine and food pairing and how to break them.

Cooking Class/Dinner Party
5:30 pm – 10:30 pm | $125 + HST per person | 8 guests
Available upon request, our small group demonstration cooking class/dinner party consists of a seven course menu featuring the best organic, seasonal ingredients from our region. We begin each class with hors d’oeuvres and a glass of sparkling before heading to the kitchen to watch as a dinner party meal is cooked (and eaten) in real time. Add some candles, linens, laughter and a surprise or two and you have a unique and delightful dining and learning experience.
